“Having worked in partnership with the Forum team on events in the library for LGBT History Month, I felt inspired to get involved myself. I think the work of the Forum is very important as a platform and a voice for the LGBT community in Sutton and for supporting young people.”

Sutton LGBT Youth Group Leader

“Keeping our vulnerable and young people safe in the Borough.”
Lisa runs the Sutton Youth Centre which holds our LGBT+ evenings every Wednesday

Marketing and
Fundraising Manager

“The reason I joined the forum is to not only give LGBT Sutton a voice but also to highlight the work the forum does. I have a massive passion for life and believe people should be who they want to be. The forum helps to make people feel secure and proud to be themselves. My motto is be-U-taful, I’m a real book worm and enjoy retail therapy (if that’s a hobby).”

LGBT History Consultant

Chris is a former civil servant with an interest in LGBT history. He also runs our educational workshops on LGBT issues and topics for the Sutton LGBT Forum.

Lead volunteer

“I am an artist who wants to act, a writer and an all around creative person. The work I make varies but they have supernatural themes. Fun fact: I’ve never been straight, ever. So being LGBT isn’t the only thing that defines me, but it had always been there.
Now I want to put it to use and help others around me in the area feel included!”

Patricia is leader of TransPals and joins us to put the T back in Sutton. Patricia has joined the forum with a bang and has some great new ideas. She is also looking to help out with new events.
